Black Hills Amateur Radio Club

Annual Auction and

Flea Market

W0BLK
Black Hills Amateur Radio Club Black Hills Amateur Radio Club

Saturday, February 17th

Doors open at 9 AM.  Flea market tables available at $5 each.  Vendors – Be sure to bring cardboard to place on the table under heavy items to protect the table surface.   Flea market starts as soon as people get their wares into the building.  Auction begins at noon.  The club takes a 10% commission on anything we auction off.  To participate in the auction, one needs a buyer/seller number...so visit the registration desk.  After the auction, we settle up with each buyer/seller.  We’re usually done by 2 PM.  We’d really rather not auction off any CB stuff or old computer junk.  Ham gear, desirable parts and test equipment are the things that people want to bid on.  Bring tape and a marker if you want items auctioned.  Mark the gear with your buyer/seller number and add any remarks as to working condition and if there’s a minimum bid.  Be available when your items are auctioned to answer any questions from the bidders.
Place: Faith Lutheran Church fellowship hall, 17 Indiana Street (across from South Middle School), Rapid City, SD.  The church youth group will be selling coffee, soft drinks, donuts, cookies, pastries, hot dogs, sloppy joes, etc.  So, plenty of food will be available.  The hall is adjacent to the parking lot, so you don’t have to lug your boat anchors very far.  We have attendees from SD, ND, MT, WY and sometimes NE.  The eyeball QSOs are a highlight of the annual auction/flea market. Please feel free to forward this information to anyone who might be interested.  The more people and ham gear, the better.  Questions – call the club number 605-646-3173 or email us at qsow0blk@gmail.com.
Directions:  The easiest way to get to the church is to take 5 th  Street and turn east on Indiana Street.  There’s a jog to the south for about half a block at Prairie Avenue.  Continue east on Indiana Street until you see the church on the right and South Middle School on the left.  If you’re coming from out of town, you can turn east onto Indiana Street from Mount Rushmore Road (Highway 16) but you’ll have to cross 5 th  Street.  On Saturday morning, it shouldn’t be too hard.  There’s no light but you won’t have the weekday traffic.  Or... take Elm Avenue and turn west on East Indiana Street until you see the church and school.
